If you have a
vehicle you would like to sell, we can usually get you more money for it if you
consign the car. Once you bring your car in, one of our employees will take it
on a test drive. If we are dealing with a Steel Dreamz quality car, then we are
in business! We do not work off of percentages. Instead, you tell us what your
bottom dollar is and we will make our markup from there. Our monthly
consignment fee is $75 for non-showroom cars kept in our secured lot here and
$150 per month for cars kept in our showroom. These fees help offset the fees we
pay for internet, print advertising and cleaning of the vehicles. We, also, can
photograph and run your car on E-Bay as part of our services (E-Bay fee is $90
per run). If you choose not to have the car kept here, we can still run it on
E-Bay for you, we charge $75 to come out to your location and photograph the car
and prepare the E-Bay ad.
Do you buy classic
cars?
Yes, we buy, sell,
trade and consign. Our buyers would be more than happy to help you sell your
classic car. The first step is to bring your vehicle by for us to see.
Unfortunately we cannot make offers on vehicles that we have not been able to
drive and see in person. If you are out of state, please call and talk to us
about getting your vehicle here for us to evaluate. Our customers wouldn't buy
our cars without professional assurance of the quality and we consider our own
purchases the same.
Do you restore your
vintage cars yourself?
Yes and no. Our shop
can tackle almost any mechanical job, including body or paint work. If you have
a question regarding the repair or restoration of your vehicle you may contact
us during normal business hours at 480-545-6605.
Do you service
classic cars?
No, not at this
time. We do restoration work which may include mechanical, body or paint work.
Do you appraise
cars?
Yes, we do work with
an appraiser. We ask at least 24 hours prior notice. Please
click hereor call us at 480-545-6605 to schedule an appraisal.
What are your hours?
We
are open Monday thru Saturday 10:00am-5:30pm. In January we open 7 days a week from 10:00am-5:30pm. Store hours are Mountain
Standard Time.
We would love to
show you our vehicles and hopefully send you home driving one. If you would
like to sit in one of our cars or test drive one of them, please ask a Steel
Dreamz sales representative for assistance.
Do
you charge a fee to walk through your showroom?
No, there is no
charge to look at our cars.
How do I determine
the value of my classic car?
If you have a
vehicle you would like to sell but do not know what it is worth, bring it by and
our buyer will assess it for you and try to help. If you need a written
appraisal for insurance or financing purposes, please
contact us to make an appointment for an
appraisal.
What
is my trade-in worth?
Unfortunately we cannot quote
prices for cars we have not seen. The best way for you to get a fair assessment
of your vehicle's worth would be for you to bring it by so our buyer can take a
look at it, please call ahead of time.
Do you accept
trades?
Yes, we do accept
quality vehicles for trade.
Are all of your cars
for sale?
Yes, all of our
vehicles are for sale, we are a classic car dealership. We buy, sell, trade and
consign. Click here to search our inventory.
How much do I have
to put down to take a car off the market?
We usually ask
serious buyers for at least $500 to $1000 to pull a car off the market. Our
deposits are non-refundable, so we strongly suggest that you make sure you
really want a car before you put a deposit down. A lot of our cars are
one-of-a-kind pieces that are in high demand. If you found the car you've been
looking for but are waiting for financing to come through, a deposit will
guarantee that you get the first shot at buying that vehicle.

place a deposit.
Do
you own all of your cars?
No, we don't own all
of them. Most of the cars belong to us, but there are a handful of consigned
vehicles. Regardless of who's name is on the title though, we treat every car
the same. Whether its the placement on our lot or featured advertising, we are
here to find homes for all of the cars on our lot.
Are
your prices negotiable?
Our prices are
non-negotiable (nobody said you couldn't make an offer though!). When we take
in a new car our staff goes through it to look for its positive and negative
points. If there are any imperfections in the vehicle they have already been
addressed in regards to pricing. If during the course of a test drive you find
something that we have missed, we will either fix it or work with you from
there. As far as payment is concerned, a "cash offer" is treated the same as
every other payment with no special discount considerations.
Do your cars come
with a warranty?
No, our vehicles do
not come with any warranties. We do, however, take the time to make your car
right before it leaves our lot. If something happens that we were not able to
predict, let us know and we will do our best to work with you to address any
problems. Many times our mechanics can have you back on the road in no time.
When you take one of our cars home you become part of the family and we try our
best to take care of you.
How
do I go about buying a car from you if I live in another state?
We do a lot of
business over the internet sight unseen. Our goal is to tell you exactly what
we are sending you and eliminate the surprises. If the car has flaws or
imperfections we will address those and let you know the true condition of the
car you are buying. If you would like a Steel Dreamz sales representative to
"walk a car", (ie. talk to you while he is looking at it) please give us a call
at 480-545-6605 or click here to email a time for us to call you.
You can either
contact your current auto insurance agent regarding a policy for your classic
car, or you can contact companies that specialize in classic automobile
insurance. Haggerty is
one specialty insurance companies that we suggest. Most require you to have
your car appraised, but even if it is not required we strongly recommend it.
What
do I have to do to test drive a car?
We are more than
happy to put serious buyers behind the wheel of one of our cars. When we get
the car you've been waiting for we'll do what we can to make it yours. If you
know you'll be in our area and would like us to have a vehicle ready for a test
drive,

contact our sales department. For more information on
financing, insurance
or shipping,
please call us at 480-545-6605.
Do you buy
works-in-progress?
YES, all of the
vehicles on our lot come to us restored and refinished. We do have the manpower
and facilities to undergo restoration work other than mechanical repairs.
Do
you sell project cars?
Occasionally,
because we buy cars that need extensive restoration or repair, we don't sell
cars in that condition. The most our vehicles ever need is a good detail and
some minor mechanical tweaking.
I
have a car to sell but it is not running. Will you come to me?
No, we don't usually
purchase cars on location because we don't have the manpower for it, however,
every case is different. Please contact us for vehicle purchasing information.
I
want my car appraised but I want you to come to me. Will you travel?
Will you find me a
car if I know what kind I want?
We do not actively
look for cars, but we do keep a list of peoples’ desires. If you would like to
tell us what you are looking for we will let you know when we get a vehicle
in that matches your search criteria. Click here to tell us what kind of car you are
looking for.

have to be to be considered a classic?

Yes, if your car is
in the same condition it was in when we owned it then we would love to have the
first shot at buying it back from you. While other cars depreciate the minute
you leave the lot, Steel Dreamz cars hold their value well if properly taken
care of. We would love to buy back your car if you're ready to try out another
classic.
Can you appraise my
car if it has been wrecked?
Yes and no. With
proper documentation we can give your insurance company a fair value for your
vehicle. The best thing to do is always to get your classic car appraised
before anything can happen to it.
